This is a brief outline of the requirements to achieve this promotion. A more detailed curriculum is available at our school.
The Brown Belt in BJJ possesses a great amount of skill. They have their personal game down but require refinement. Achieving this level takes lots of patience.
The Brown belt should be able to create while rolling and be competitive with Black Belts.
* Brown Belts should be of outstanding moral and ethical character. Brown Belts should have no less than 2 years at the purple belt level.
* Testing will be done at the semi-annual Renato Tavares seminar or by private appointment.
* Time varies on achieving this level. Some only a year some up to 5 years.
